We are excited to announce that we will be offering a statewide hybrid Volunteer Fire Fighter 160 course that will be centered here on our main campus.

What is a “hybrid” course delivery?

Hybrid courses combine online learning and in-person instruction. It is a structured format, with specific meeting times.

The class schedule for this delivery is as follows:

  • Hazardous Materials/WMD Awareness & Operations: April 10-11 and April 17-18 (10-hour days starting at 0800)
  • Module I: April 19 to June 5
  • Module II: June 7 to July 24
  • Module III: July 26 to September 11

Student requirements:

  • Students will be required to report to campus on designated Saturdays in each module to complete the skills portion of the class and end of subject exams.
  • All students will be required to complete a physical using the AFC Physical Form.
  • There is no cost for the course.
  • The textbook is not provided but can be purchased from the AFC bookstore.
